SHADU is a dynamic force in the Ukrainian music scene, known for her talents as both a singer and DJ. Passionate about synth pop and electro pop, SHADU aims to transcend borders and become an international artist. Inspired by the success of Artbat, one of the world’s most popular DJs and sound producers from Ukraine, she added DJing to her repertoire. “I’ve always been fascinated by learning new instruments,” she explains. “DJing is so exciting and inspiring for me – I don’t know how I lived without it before. I will definitely do a combination of DJing and singing. I think people will love this mix.”
Her music has resonated globally, earning her letters from fans around the world. “The charts show listeners’ interest in my work. I’ll keep releasing quality, modern music and expanding my audience,” she says.
SHADU is also known for her unique fashion sense, always wearing designer clothes. “I love fashion and stylish, flamboyant looks. My director, Aisha Milevskaya, creates custom outfits for me because standard sizes often don’t fit,” she shares. “The way she sees me, the costumes she creates for me, I consider the highest level of talent and art!”
Looking ahead, SHADU believes artists should convey messages of unity and positivity, especially in uncertain times. “The whole world is in a state of uncertainty now, and people often do not feel as comfortable and safe as they used to. Music can unite people and lead them to brighter things,” she emphasizes.
Before the full-scale Russian invasion, SHADU’s fashion videos on TikTok garnered millions of views. During the invasion, she focused on political videos, but her followers requested the return of fashion content. “Fashion is about feeling, inspiration, and creativity. I plan to make even bigger fashion videos, combining music and fashion in new ways,” she concludes.
