Gigi Hadid Opens Up About Bradley Cooper and Their Romantic Relationship
Gigi Hadid has spoken publicly about her boyfriend, Bradley Cooper, for the first time. She described their relationship as “very romantic and happy.”
How Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper Met
In an interview with Vogue published on Tuesday, Hadid shared details about their romance. The 29-year-old model affectionately calls him “Bradley,” and the couple has been dating for over a year. Surprisingly, they met in a very ordinary way—through a mutual friend at a kid’s backyard birthday party.
“I think just getting to the point where knowing what you want and deserve in a relationship is essential,” Hadid said. “Then to find someone that is in a place in their life where they know what they want and deserve … and you both do work separately to come together and be the best partner that you can be. I just feel really lucky.”
Their Life as Parents
Both Hadid and Cooper are parents. Hadid shares her 4-year-old daughter, Khai, with her ex-boyfriend, Zayn Malik. Meanwhile, Cooper is the father of an 8-year-old daughter, Lea, whom he shares with model Irina Shayk. Hadid admitted that she doesn’t believe their relationship would have worked earlier in her life.
“I respect him so much as a creative,” she said. “He gives me so much—encouragement and belief. When someone you admire encourages you, it builds self-confidence. It makes you think, ‘What’s the worst that could happen if I auditioned for this? You just have to take the leap.’”
Keeping Their Relationship Private
While the couple does not shy away from public outings—often spotted on double dates with Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce—Hadid values privacy.
“You want to experience dating in a normal way,” Hadid explained. “Even for my friends who aren’t public figures, that’s hard. Where do you go? And how do you start meeting people? There’s an added layer of privacy and security. You want to believe people have your back and won’t call TMZ or post on Deuxmoi, but you just never know.”

Hadid also spoke about her co-parenting journey with Zayn Malik, saying their partnership is built on “love and camaraderie.”
“There is the hard part of the world knowing this much and thinking they know everything,” she said, possibly alluding to the 2021 incident involving her mother, Yolanda Hadid. “At the end of the day, we are not interested in sharing everything. What matters most is raising our daughter with love and mutual respect—not just as co-parents, but also as two people who have been through a lot together.”
Hadid and Cooper’s romance continues to flourish, and while they keep much of their relationship private, Hadid made it clear—she feels incredibly lucky.
