CONOR McGREGOR made his acting debut alongside Hollywood A-lister Jake Gyllenhaal in the remake of 1980s classic Road House.
The duo feature in a reboot of the 1iconic 989 Patrick Swayze action film that is exclusively available to watch on Amazon Prime Video – but how much did the MMA star receive for his Hollywood debut?
How much did Conor McGregor get paid for Road House?
Conor McGregor has claimed that he has broken the record for the highest-paid debuting actor following his appearance in Road House.
According to The Guinness Book of World Records, Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson holds the record after he earned $5.5million (£4.36m) to appear in 2001’s The Mummy Returns.
However, speaking to Good Morning Britain in the build-up to the release of Road House, McGregor claimed: “That’s the fact, the highest-paid first-time actor of all time so it’s a nice feather in the cap.
“There’s not an action star in Hollywood that could take me on and that’s a fact, so let’s see how it goes.”
The Notorious documented his time filming Road House back in 2022 and during that period, McGregor tweeted (which has since been deleted): “I’m the highest-paid first-time actor of all time. Add that to the rest of my accolades.”
The official fee McGregor was paid for featuring in Road House has not been confirmed, but should he have surpassed The Rock’s record it would be a larger sum than $5.5million (£4.36m).
