The night’s biggest winner was unsurprisingly Oppenheimer, sweeping seven awards including Best Picture, Director, and two acting accolades. However, the Oscars 2024 had its share of unexpected moments, particularly in the Best Actress category. Despite a fierce competition between Emma Stone for “Poor Things” and Lily Gladstone for “Killers of the Flower Moon,” Stone emerged victorious, securing her second Oscar. Gladstone, although visibly supportive of Stone, faced disappointment, marking a challenging milestone for “Killers” director Martin Scorsese, who has seen three of his films receive ten Oscar nominations without a win.
Curious about the other winners? Explore our comprehensive list below for all the 2024 Oscars victors. (For those interested, you can compare our predictions with Vanity Fair’s—like many others, we didn’t quite call the Best Actress category correctly.) While Oppenheimer’s triumph closed the show, the night continued with our live blog capturing every moment on and off the stage, along with highlights from the 2024 Vanity Fair Oscar Party.
